ALISSA WILLIAMS (B Ex Sci/B Phys)

Physiotherapist/Clinical Pilates

 

Alissa has an extensive background in sport, competing at an international level for her age in Triathlon. Alissa is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and has had experience in a number of different areas of Physiotherapy. Alissa has worked in both the hospital and private sector which has given her an excellent grounding of her Physiotherapy skills. Alissa's combined Physiotherapy and Pilates skills allows her to deliver a well rounded and effective treatment.

 

Alissa's areas of interest are

- Overuse Injuries

- Triathletes

- Neuromuscular retraining

- Pilates based exercise training

- Complex diagnosis and chronic pain rehabilitation

 

Alissa is the head Triathlon Coach for Tri Alliance Gold Coast and is the preferred physiotherapist for the club. Alissa graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2009 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science/Bachelor of Physiotherapy and since then has had experience with athletes, hospitals, community health, rehabilitation and chronic disease. 

 

 

 

KATIE DOWLING (B Hlth Sc, M Nutr &Diet, APD)

Accredited Practicing Dietician/Accredited Practicing Nutritionist
 

Having a lifelong passion for health and nutrition Katie completed her Bachelor of Health Science and her Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at Griffith University.  Katie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and has also studied sports nutrition at the Australian Institute of Sport and has had experience with both sporting teams and individual athletes.

Katies special interests include:

  • Weight management: Weight loss, weight gain and muscle gain

  • Diabetes

  • Cardiovascular Disease

  •  Emotional and binge eating management

  • Allergy and intolerance

  • Sports nutrition plans

  • Gastrointestinal disorders (IBS, Coeliac disease, IBD),

  • Paediatric nutrition

  • Symptom management: Asthma, eczema, hives, bloating, flatulence, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, headaches and migraines
     

She has a passion for helping her patients achieve improved health outcomes and enjoys seeing her clients reach their weight and nutritional goals. Working in private practice enables Katie to practice according to her values of promoting successful and sustainable, health change through individualised dietary plans and solutions. Katie has five years experience in private practice Dietetics and has helped numerous patients to achieve their goals.

CHRISTINA DALLIS (B Hlth Sc, M Nutr & Diet, APD)

Accredited Practicing Dietician/Accredited Practicing Nutritionist

 

Christina is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Nutritionist who is passionate about health and wellbeing. 

She recognises the importance of individualised advice for clients and is dedicated in helping people understand the relationship between the foods we eat, the impact it has on our health and the way we feel.

 

Christina’s special interests include:

  • Weight management including both fat loss and lean muscle gain; 

  • Gastrointestinal issues including irritable bowel syndrome, food intolerances such as wheat, fructose, lactose (i.e. FODMAPs).

  • Fertility and pregnancy nutrition

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

  • Insulin Resistance and Diabetes

 

Christina works with clients individually and tailors their meal plans, guiding them to achieve their nutrition and health goals.

 

Christina has completed her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at Griffith University, and prior to that a Bachelor of Medical Science at Flinders University, Adelaide. She is a memeber of the Dietitians Association of Australia, Sports Dieititians of Australia, and the Coeliac Society 

MATT WRATTON

Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

 

Matt has over 15 years experience across a number of different fields. He has gained a wealth of experience managing musculo skeletal injuries and chronic diseases. He works in conjunction with local GP's, Specialists, Physiotherapists and other heatlh professionals to assist his clients manage and improve their health, condition and wellness.
